Valentine’s Day has been and gone in a blur of ribbon, roses and very full flower buckets.
It’s always one of our busiest (and loveliest) times of the year - full of quiet excitement, thoughtful pre-orders, last-minute dashes and a lot of “just one more bouquet” moments. As always, we’re incredibly grateful for the support. The shop hums in a way that feels equal parts joyful and slightly chaotic - just how we like it.
But here’s the thing…when isn’t it a good idea to show someone you love them?
We don’t actually need a date circled on the calendar to tell someone they matter. Some of the nicest flower purchases we see aren’t tied to an occasion at all. They’re the “I saw these and thought of you” bouquets. The “you’ve had a long week” stems. The “no reason at all” bunches that land on a kitchen bench and quietly change the whole feel of a room. Those are often our favourites.

And truly, there’s nothing quite like the joy of both giving and receiving flowers. It’s simple, but it never fails.
Hot on the heels of Valentine’s, I’m packing my bags and heading to Sydney for the annual Gift Fair - one of my favourite “research” trips of the year. It’s always such a good opportunity to visit some of our wonderful suppliers, explore exciting new ventures for 2026, and re-stock some of the much-loved pieces you’re always asking for.
I’ll also be visiting Saardé HQ, which I’m genuinely very excited about. We adore their hand and body range - timeless, beautifully made and perfectly aligned with our thoughtful approach to gifting - so it will be very special to see where it all begins.
Meanwhile, our lovely Sam is off to Japan for a much-anticipated (and very well deserved) holiday. She has been given very clear instructions to keep her wonderfully observant eagle eye out for any shop-worthy treats or inspiration along the way. We like to think of it as international sourcing.
And while all of that is happening, the shop doors remain very much open.
We’re open seven days a week, there’s super-handy parking right outside, and there will always be fresh flowers ready and waiting for you.
Valentine’s may be over, but love - in all its forms - is always worth marking. We’ll have the flowers ready.
