The Hoya Hindu Rope (Hoya carnosa 'Compacta') is a slow growing, semi-succulent vine famoius for its thick, waxy and tightly curled leaves that stack on top of each other to resemble twisted ropes.

It thrives in bright, indirect light, well-draining aroid soil, and prefers to be slightly pot-bound.

Light: Provide bright, indirect light (such as a south or east-facing window with slight shade). Too much direct sun can bleach the leaves

Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water deeply, ensuring excellent drainage. The trailing stems can grow up to a couple of meters long.

Soil & Potting: Use a chunky, airy potting mix, such as an orchid or aroid mix. These plants grow best in plastic pots, which help balance moisture levels.

Blooms: With proper care, they reward you with beautifully fragrant, pink or white star-shaped flowers that grow in waxy, ball-like clusters.
