The Cissus 'Ellen Danica' is a surprisingly good performer as an indoor plant. Fast growing and bearing many shiny dark green, handsomely-toothed, oak-shaped leaves along the softly hairy stems it can be encouraged to grow upwards or cascade down.

The vine attaches via tendrils.

The foliage is pale bronze-green when young and matures to a deeper green bearing red hairs on their underside. In summer this lovely vine bears non-showy, haired green flowers followed by black fruit, from where the term 'grape ivy' was adapted.

The fruit is in-edible.

'Ellen Danica' is a modest climbing or rambling evergreen vine suited to indoors, hanging baskets, along trellises or even as a ground cover under trees or other sheltered areas. 'Ellen Danica' is non-invasive and doesn't self-sow. Requiring minimal care, the vine can grow in areas of low to moderate filtered light.

Prefers a well-draining potting mix,  allow to dry out between waterings (particularly during winter) and regular fertilising during the warmer months is beneficial. Toxicity: Non-Toxic to Dogs, Non-Toxic to Cats, Non-Toxic to Horses
