Rhipsalis horrida (scientifically classified as Rhipsalis baccifera subsp. horrida) isa unique, trailing epiphytic cactus natice to tropical regions.

Widely known as the Mouse Tail Cactus, it features slender, pale green, cylindrical stems covered in bristly reddish-brown spines that taper like a tail

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect, or filtered light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the stems and cause red discolouration.

Watering: Allow the top few centimetres of the soil to dry out between waterings. While they like more moisture during the spring and summer growing seasons, they are prone to root rot, so be careful not to overwater.

Soil & Potting: Plant in a well-draining, chunky, and slightly acidic mix. Using a mix with orchid bark, perlite, or coconut coir works best, and terra cotta pots provide ideal breathability.

Environment: They enjoy humidity and warmer temperatures. Misting them occasionally or placing them in a humid room helps them flourish.
